About the Event

Thank you to the beautiful musicians for donating their time to this concert.

With your donation, Wāhine can continue to grow. You will play a significant part in upholding Māori voices that preserve stories and knowledge, and transform thinking in our communities. Your koha will help us cover the cost of:

  • Exhibition materials
  • Transportation of the exhibition
  • Production costs

Wāhine aims to inspire compassion and ignite a wider sense of belonging in Aotearoa. We’re using modern technology while staying true to tikanga Māori: the traditional customs and ways of communicating past histories and whakapapa orally. It is a step forward to fostering mutual understanding. Wāhine reminds us that while we are all unique in our own ways, many of our experiences are alike, creating common ground, kotahitanga (togetherness), and opportunity for a more truthful and open intercultural dialogue.

We are now closing registration which means we may only have standing space. Please bring a chair.
